Ukrainian Defense Forces Achieve New Breakthrough in Kursk Oblast
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have made a breakthrough in a new section of the frontline in the Kursk oblast.
The corresponding video was published by the press service of the Khorne Group unit of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The breakthrough of the Russian border occurred in the area towards the village of Vesele.
Due to engineering reconnaissance, the offensive routes were prepared, allowing the troops to cross the border unhindered and safely continue to move through enemy territory.
A new border breakthrough took place at coordinates 51.270750, 34.548833, where the Ukrainian military did not encounter strong enemy resistance and were able to advance significantly deeper into enemy territory.
According to the unit reports, a Russian group of thousands is at risk of being surrounded, potentially increasing the number of POWs for future exchanges.
“We have entered a new place, kilometers into Russia… a group of Russian conscripts numbering at least a thousand people is under the threat of encirclement,” the Khorne Group said.
Due to the well-planned operation and rapid pace of the Ukrainian offensive in different areas of the Kursk oblast, the enemy was unable to organize a defense.
Recently, soldiers of the 501st Separate Marine Battalion stopped a Russian assault in Vyshnevka, Kursk oblast.
According to OSINT researcher EjShahid, Russian infantry tried to advance in the village of Vyshnevka, Korenivka district, Kursk oblast.
Ukrainian rocket artillery also struck the enemy’s concentrations with cluster munitions.
The affected enemy units were amassing to prepare for an assault on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
