Ukrainian drone hit the radar of S-400 system in Belgorod region
A Ukrainian kamikaze drone struck a Russian radar of an S-400 air defense system in the Belgorod region.
The Come Back Alive Foundation published the video of the defeat of the Russian radar.
The foundation said that the UAV operators of the Attack Drone Group “Flight Club” of the 92nd Assault Brigade “Ivan Sirko” had tracked down the 96L6 radar that had accompanied the invaders’ S-400 air defense system in the Belgorod region.
The Russian radar was spotted near a small forest belt between fields. It is not specified when it happened.
After determining the coordinates of the Russian radar’s location, a Ukrainian kamikaze drone flew to destroy it.
The drone strike disabled the radar, thus “blinding” Russian air defense in the area for some time.
The Come Back Alive Foundation noted that the Russian 96L6 radar had been detected by the Ukrainian defenders and targeted by a kamikaze drone using a Shark reconnaissance drone.
This unmanned complex of Ukrainian production was handed over to the soldiers of the Attack Drone Group “Flight Club” within the framework of the EYE FOR AN EYE project.
Last month, the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion, together with the 78th Airborne Assault Regiment “Herts,” targeted a Russian Buk-M3 in the Kursk oblast with HIMARS.
This air defense system was discovered on the territory of the Kursk region of the aggressor state.
The video shows the launcher launching at an air target while the SAM tries to leave the position but is almost directly hit by a GMLRS rocket.
Unfortunately, the quality of the video does not give the full oppurtunity to determine whether the self-propelled vehicle was hit or destroyed.
