Ukrainian FPV Drone Destroys Russian EW System Station
Mountain infantry destroyed the station of the Russian Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare system using an FPV-drone.
Volunteer Serhii Sternenko said that this combat mission was conducted by the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade.
“One of the most expensive targets is destroyed with an FPV. The Borisoglebsk-2 EW system is one of the most powerful in the service of Russians,” the volunteer said.
The R-330BMV station was hit by a drone of the mountain assault brigade’s ‘Taystra’ unit.
The mission was carried out at a rather long distance from the place of departure of the drone.
The Russians tried to hide the R-330BMV station in a wooded area.
The station of the Borisoglebsk-2 EW system was discovered by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone.
The Ukrainian reconnaissance UAV continued to monitor the station even during the strike by the FPV drone.
The main task of the Borisoglebsk-2 system is to detect and suppress various communication channels and other systems using radio signals.
First of all, these are tactical link communication and control systems, in particular satellite ones. In addition, it is possible to suppress radio navigation systems.
The Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare (EW) system comprises various types of equipment designed for a wide range of tasks. Specifically, it includes the R-330KMV control post along with the R-378BMV, R-330BMV, R-934BMV, and R-325UMV active jamming stations. All components of the system are mounted on the MT-LB self-propelled chassis, providing high mobility and passability.
Last year, the Ukrainian Defense Forces military destroyed a Russian R-934BMV active jamming station.
