Ukrainian military destroy the Russian R-934BMV Borisoglebsk-2 EW system
Soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed the Russian R-934BMV electronic warfare weapon system.
The system was struck by an FPV drone on one of the front sections.
This station is part of the Borisoglebsk-2 multi-functional electronic warfare weapon system.
A photo of the destroyed vehicle was published on social media.
The R-934BMV station is mounted on a MT-LB self-propelled tracked chassis, which allows for its high mobility and off-road capabilities.
The published images show that after the strike of the Ukrainian FPV-drone, the station of the Russian EW system suffered significant damage, which led to its complete destruction. The consequences of a powerful explosion and combustion are observed on the hull of the vehicle.
The main task of the RB-301B Borisoglebsk-2 EW system is to detect and suppress various communication channels and other systems using radio signals. The vehicle of this system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was captured at the beginning of a major war with the Russian Federation.
First of all, these are tactical link communication and control systems, in particular satellite ones. In addition, it is possible to suppress radio navigation systems.
As part of this Russian electronic warfare weapon system, there is equipment of various types, which is designed for a wide range of tasks.
Namely, it consists of the R-330KMV control post with interference stations R-378BMV, R-330BMV, R-934BMV and R-325UMV. All capabilities of the system are located on the MT-LB self-propelled chassis.
Upon arrival at the position of the system, it takes about 15 minutes to deploy all assets and prepare for combat work. The general coordination of the system is carried out by the crew of the R-330KMV control post, consisting of four people.
As Militarnyi reported that last year, the Ukrainian military captured a Russian R-934BMV EW system during hostilities in the Kharkiv region.
