Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare (EW) station in the Toretsk sector.

The 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released the video of the Russian equipment destruction.

The Russian electronic warfare station, which the invaders were trying to hide in a forest, was discovered by Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance.

Pilots of the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded the equipment’s location.

After discovering the important enemy equipment, the Ukrainian crew of the reconnaissance drone adjusted the HIMARS fire on the Russian R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare station.

A precision strike with two GMLRS rockets was launched from a U.S. launcher in service with one of the missile units of the Defense Forces.

The video captures the electronic warfare station being completely destroyed due to two hits. In addition, the video shows a missile of an unknown system firing as a result of the GMLRS shrapnel. This may indicate that an unknown missile system was also hit along with the EW station. However, the quality of the video does not allow us to determine which one.

R-934B Sinitsa

The R-934B Sinitsa EW station is designed to jam aviation VHF radio communications, tactical aircraft guidance systems, and ground-based fixed and mobile radio communication lines.

It is claimed to be capable of jamming cellular and trunked radio systems operating both at fixed frequencies and in the programmatic frequency hopping mode.

The station can operate separately or as part of the Borisoglebsk-2 automated jamming systems. The Russian R-934B was recorded in temporarily occupied Donbas before the outbreak of a full-scale war with Russia.

In June 2024, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a Sinitsa electronic warfare station near the border in the Kharkiv region.

The 71st Separate Ranger Brigade used several FPV strike drones to destroy the station. As a result of the strikes, the R-934B Sinitsa station caught fire and was completely disabled.
