The soldiers of five units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces received a batch of Ukrainian-made Sych drones.

The KOLO Charity Foundation handed over the UAVs and published the relevant photos on its Facebook page.

The foundation emphasized that 12 boards worth UAH 12 million had been donated as part of the ‘The owls flew away’ fundraising campaign.

The Ukrainian-made drones will be operated by the UAV operators of the Cartel group, the Consolidated Unmanned Systems Detachment of the 31st Regiment, the 58th Motorized Brigade, the Skhid (East ed.) group of SOF and the 411th Battalion of Unmanned Systems.

These drones can perform both reconnaissance and strike functions. The board can carry up to 4 kg of ammunition – 2 kg on each side.

It is noted that the Ukrainian-made Sych operates both day and night and flies up to 150 km to detect the movement of enemy equipment and personnel, as well as to hit the detected targets.

These UAVs have been used by Ukrainian defenders for a long time, including for strikes on the rear of Russian invaders.

They have been handed over to the Special Forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine by various charitable foundations.

According to Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in strike mode, the Sych drone flies into the enemy’s rear and is resistant to enemy electronic warfare.

He said that the Sych drone had proven itself well. That is why the DIU has trained the crews and instructors who teach new operators how to use these domestic strike and reconnaissance drones.

The Ukrainian defenders use these drones to destroy both enemy manpower and armored vehicles.
