Ukrainian naval drones destroy the landing ship Caesar Kunikov
On the night of February 14, MAGURA naval drones attacked the Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov in the Black Sea.
The command of the Ukrainian Navy reported that the landing ship was destroyed in cooperation with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
At the time of the attack, the vessel was in Ukrainian territorial waters near Alupka.
“MAGURA V5 marine drones attacked the enemy ship off the coast of temporarily occupied Crimea,” the intelligence reported.
The landing ship Caesar Kunikov received critical holes in its port side and started to sink.
“It is symbolic that the Russian officer after whom the ship was named was killed exactly 101 years ago,” the intelligence added.
The special forces of the Group 13 of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine carried out the successful mission.
At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the interception of six drones over the Black Sea.
“The search-and-rescue operation of the invaders was unsuccessful,” the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine stated.
The special operation was made possible with the support of the United24 platform, through which the Ukrainian Defense Forces can receive MAGURA V5s.
Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus (MAGURA) V-type is a new generation multi-purpose unmanned surface vessel developed in Ukraine.
As a kamikaze drone, it can engage enemy surface ships, both at sea and at military bases in bays. For this, it can carry up to 320 kilograms of explosives.
