Ukrainian soldiers started their training in Poland

Ukrainian soldiers began training in Poland, as part of the EU’s EUMAM Ukraine mission.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Polish Army.

It is noted that the first battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine passed certification before the start of the exercises.

“The purpose of the EU mission in the Commonwealth is to ensure the individual, collective, and professional training of the servicemen of Ukraine,” the reports emphasized.

The EUMAM Ukraine is a European Training Mission for the Defense Forces of Ukraine that aims to prepare 15 thousand Ukrainian military personnel.

The exercises will be held on the territory of various EU member states. Instead of a single training center in the countries of the European Union, separate training courses in specialties should be organized.

The mission is under the command of Hervé Bléjean, French Vice Admiral and the Director of Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC).

The mission will last for 24 months. It will ensure coordination with bilateral activities of member states in support of Ukraine, as well as with other international partners, and will be open to the participation of third states.

It is planned that the largest exercises will take place in Poland and Germany.

Recall that the Minister of Defense of Slovenia Marjan Šarec announced Slovenia’s intentions to join the European Union mission to train Ukrainian servicemen.

At the last meeting, the Slovenian government decided to send about 30 of its representatives to the EU training mission for the military of Ukraine, with the possibility of rotation.
