At the time of the attack, the system was undergoing repairs, which caused significant damage to the system itself, as well as to its personnel and maintenance.
Militarnyi previously reported that in early October 2024, a Ukrainian kamikaze drone had struck a Russian radar of an S-400 air defense system in the Belgorod region.
The UAV operators of the Attack Drone Group “Flight Club” of the 92nd Assault Brigade “Ivan Sirko” had tracked down the 96L6 radar that had accompanied the invaders’ S-400 air defense system in the Belgorod region.
The drone strike disabled the radar, thus “blinding” Russian air defense in the area for some time.
