Ukrainian Troops Eliminate Russians Crossing the Psyol River in Kursk Oblast
Ukrainian territorial defense fighters eliminated the entire Russian assault group that was crossing the Psyol River in the Kursk oblast, Russia.
The RUGBY TEAM strike company of the 129th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade said that the assaulters were killed after crossing the river.
The Russian command sent fighters on boats to assault, without any support from armored vehicles.
At least 7 Russian soldiers landed on the other side of the river and were immediately attacked by Ukrainian troops.
Artillery and FPV strike drones were used to eliminate the attackers.
The Russian military immediately scattered in different directions and tried to hide in bushes and trees.
According to the Ukrainian military, “the Russian assault group was completely destroyed while crossing the Psyol River.”
The Ukrainian General Staff stated that the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks and seven clashes are still ongoing in the Kursk oblast.
“The enemy has carried out eight air strikes today, dropping 11 guided aerial bombs on its territory,” the General Staff added.
In early November, the Russian army resumed attempts to launch mechanized attacks in the Kursk oblast to seize the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to The New York Times, which cited unnamed U.S. and Ukrainian officials, the Russian military has assembled a 50,000-strong group, including North Korean troops, in the Kursk oblast.
