Ukrainian troops fight off Russian assault near Torske village
In the Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops fought off a new Russian assault in the direction of Torske village.
The 60th Mechanized Brigade said they had stopped the Russian invaders and inflicted losses on them.
The Russian command deployed several armored vehicles to the assault, which were covered with protective sheets from FPV drones.
However, this protection did not help the invaders and the Ukrainian FPV drone managed to blow up a Russian tank.
“Another enemy assault is another success for the 60th Brigade! The FPV drone of the FPV Drone Company “Vidar” accurately targeted the Russian tank and delivered a devastating blow,” the military reported.
The strike drone hit caused the ammunition in the tank to detonate, resulting in a massive explosion.
“The explosion was so powerful that it was probably seen even on the ISS! Another enemy iron monster has been destroyed thanks to the skill of our drone operators and the courage of the defenders,” the military shared.
The Ukrainian General Staff said that fourteen times the invaders tried to push the military from their positions in the Lyman sector near Druzheliubivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Zarichne, Torske, Hryhorivka, and Dibrova.
“Eleven battles have been completed, three are still ongoing,” the General Staff said.
In September, DeepState analysts reported that the Ukrainian defense forces had regained their position near Torske, Donetsk region.
Previously, the 60th Mechanized Brigade was performing tasks in the Kupiansk sector. In March, it was reported that the brigade was holding the line in the Lyman sector.
Previously, soldiers of the 79th Separate Tavrian Air Assault Brigade recently repelled a massive Russian attack in the Donetsk region.
