Ukroboronprom launched production of 82-mm mines
Ukroboronprom deployed mass production of 82 mm HE-fragmentation mines abroad.
The state concern emphasized that the number of fragments is 2-2.5 times higher than the standard.
Mass production is established at the facilities of one of the NATO member states.
The 82 mm fragmentation mine is designed to defeat enemy manpower from a mortar at a distance of up to 4,500 meters.
“The number of deadly fragments recorded during tests on target shields and on the proving ground is 2-2.5 times as much as a regular mine should have,” Ukroboronprom says.
It is stated that the size and shape of the fragments is also better than the standard one. Mines are painted yellow.
According to the standard, during the rupture of a regular mine, the number of fragments that should hit the target at a distance of 5 meters should reach 198 pieces, at a distance of 10 meters – 70 pieces, and at a distance of 15 meters – 41 pieces.
“The ammunition, improved by specialists of Ukroboronprom enterprises, has 460, 140 and 69 fragments, respectively,” representatives of the concern said.
In November 2022, it became known that Ukroboronprom and its enterprises had established the production of 152mm artillery rounds.
These 152 mm ammunition are also painted yellow.
The munition has a OF-25Т marks, which differs from the marking of Soviet OF-25 shells.
This is probably a variant of the high-explosive projectile for D-20, Msta-B, Msta-S and 2S3 Akatsiya howitzers.
