United24 releases the appearance of the Palianytsia missile-drone
Ukraine revealed the appearance of a new Palianytsia long-range missile-drone.
The photo was released in one of United24’s videos.
According to United24, the new Palianytsia long-range missile-drone was developed by Ukrainian specialists in the shortest possible time to create a response to Russia’s constant missile attacks.
In general, it took a year and a half to develop, which is very fast in the context of the war.
Due to the product secrecy, the specifications of the new long-range weapon are not disclosed, but it is noted that more than two dozen Russian air bases are within range of this missile.
The Palianytsia missile-drone is launched from the ground, and to achieve a long range, the missile-drone is equipped with a turbojet engine, which theoretically allows for thrust control to achieve the most economical flight speed.
In addition to airfields, Ukraine will also be able to strike military units, oil refineries, oil storage bases, stationary radar systems, etc.
In addition, United24 noted that the new Palianytsia missile-drone has already received its first successful combat use against enemy targets, which took place on August 24, 2024.
The details of the first combat use are not yet available, but it is noted that the number of drones of this type will increase significantly to inflict maximum damage on enemy military infrastructure.
It is also noted that the cost of the new missile-drone is significantly lower than that of its analogues, and work is currently underway to reduce production costs by using alternative materials.
This approach will allow for the mass production of missiles and strengthen Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities in this war and in the future.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense signed several agreements to purchase domestic drones, electronic warfare (EW), and communications equipment.
