Unnamed European country orders PULS MRLs and Hermes 900 UAVs

The Israeli company Elbit Systems has signed the contracts to supply PULS multiple rocket launchers and Hermes 900 unmanned aerial systems to an unnamed European country.

This is stated in the company’s press release published on November 18.

The contracts, which will run for three and a half years, are estimated to be worth a total of approximately $335 million.

In addition to an unknown number of PULS multiple rocket launchers (MRL), the contracts also provide for the supply of missiles for them.

Elbit Systems does not disclose who the customer is or how many Hermes 900 drones will be delivered under these agreements.

Earlier in August 2024, the Israeli company also received an order for the supply of a PULS multiple launch rocket system worth approximately $270 million. At the time, Elbit Systems did not disclose who the customer had been.

In May 2023, Elbit Systems received an order from the Netherlands for the supply of MLRS worth $305 million.

The five-year contract provides for the supply of 20 universal launchers of the PULS (Precise and Universal Launching Systems) system, which will be integrated into the Scania Gryphus 8×8 wheeled chassis chosen by the Dutch army.

However, the first four MLRSs will initially be on a Tatra Force 815-7 chassis with a 6×6 wheel configuration, which will be used as training and reserve vehicles. Later, they will also be transplanted to Scania chassis.

The PULS MLRS is a versatile mobile launcher that houses containers with the ability to use a variety of the different types of munitions, including precision guided missiles with different ranges.

Hermes 900

The Israeli Hermes 900 is an all-weather tactical unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the Israeli company Elbit Systems.

It is designed for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance, as well as patrolling a given area. The drone made its first flight in December 2009. It has been mass-produced in Israel since 2011 and has several modifications. The company notes that since the first order, Hermes 900 has been chosen by more than 20 customers worldwide.
