A Muraha ground robotic system for the Ukrainian military was developed in the Ternopil region.

Ihor Chaikivsky, Head of the “Robotic Systems” project, has shared this with Suspilne.

According to him, the remote-controlled system can cover a distance of 15 kilometers or more. The Murakha system consists of 80% Ukrainian-made parts.

“After the Murakha robotic system, the next one will be smaller. This is the Minion system, it is four times smaller and more compact,” the developers said.

The Murakha system was developed to remotely remove soldiers from the battlefield, and bring water, food, or other cargo.

It was named this way because it weighs 350 kilograms but can carry a ton of cargo.

“This is a fairly powerful evacuation unit. It runs on one or two electric batteries with a capacity of 6, 8, or 13.6 kW. Such a system should be enough for about 30-40 kilometers. It will also be supplemented with radio communication and video surveillance systems,” the project manager notes.

The system has a “forward” and “reverse” function and a “turn in place” function in one direction and in the other. “Murakha” is charged from an outlet or generator.

One of the interesting engineering solutions is the sides of the ramp, which were developed and designed by Ukrainian engineers.

The sides are quite easily turned into ladders so that this platform can be removed from the pickup truck or driven back onto the pickup truck.

The estimated cost of the full system will be between UAH 620 and 650 thousand, depending on additional equipment.

Last year, the soldiers of the 5th Assault Brigade demonstrated the combat mission of the Ukrainian Ironclad ground unmanned combat platform.
