Belarusian 140th State Plant Involved in Russian Military Repairs
The Belarusian state-owned 140th Repair Plant is reportedly involved in repairing and restoring armored vehicles for the Russian army.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Mortis Æterna.
The author made such conclusions based on satellite images of the plant’s territory, which show a significant increase in the number of armored vehicles.
The author noticed more than 60 tanks on the territory of the plant, which is an unusually large number for this facility.
In addition, the images show about 40 armored personnel carriers, most of which appear to have been decommissioned. Some of the hulls are in very poor condition, so the author assumes that they may have been damaged in combat.
Several infantry fighting vehicles and a few cars are also visible on the plant’s grounds.
In the backyard of the plant, several more dismantled IFVs and APCs can be seen, possibly awaiting repair or refurbishment.
At the nearby 814th Maintenance Center, more IFVs are visible, along with a train carrying 11 new combat vehicles.
Belarusian equipment in the Russian army
Previously, in August 2024, it was reported that Alexander Lukashenko ordered the transfer of some military equipment from Belarusian units to the Russian army. This is not the first time that self-proclaimed President of Belarus Lukashenko has transferred equipment and ammunition to the Russian side.
In 2022, Belarus transferred ammunition and equipment from its warehouses. Now it’s supplying them directly from active combat units.
This may indicate that Belarus’ warehouses and arsenals were emptied in 2022-2023.
The country has also likely significantly reduced its stockpile of artillery ammunition by transferring ammunition to the Russian military.
At the same time, Belarusian officials are trying to hide the amount of military equipment they are sending to Russia to support its invasion of Ukraine.
It was also reported that the Russian invasion forces were using trucks manufactured by the Minsk Automobile Plant.
