Defense Forces of Ukraine liberate the village of Rivnopil in Donetsk region

The Ukrainian military has liberated the village of Rivnopil of the Velyka Novosilka Raion, which is located on the border of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar announced this on June 26.

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine have returned Rivnopil under our control. Let’s move on,” Maliar wrote on her social media page.

The soldiers of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 31st Mechanized Brigade published a video in which they reported that on June 25, the forces of the unit had liberated this settlement.

Rivnopil was semi-encircled between two de-occupied positions liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June.

Russian troops could probably no longer maintain their positions in the settlement or counterattack, so they were forced to retreat.

The press service of the unit published the footage featuring the battles in this direction, which showed the active use of Ukrainian heavy artillery and assault aircraft on the positions of the invaders.

Losses of the Russians near Rivnopil

Militarnyi has already published a video capturing the destruction of Russian armored vehicles by the Ukrainian military on the outskirts of this settlement.

On the night of June 25, the ‘Magyar’s birds’ unit discovered a vehicle moving along one of the roads in the direction of the village of Rivnopil from the south.

For the strike at the enemy, the military used the R-18 unmanned combat aerial vehicle, capable of carrying several explosive devices at once to drop them on the enemy. In just one day, the unmanned combat aerial vehicle hit three infantry fighting vehicles and a Russian truck.

The second damage to the equipment was also inflicted in this direction. Ukrainian aerial intelligence in the ‘Aeronauts’ group showcased the damage to the MT-LB armored personnel carrier with ammunition.

The strikes had a significant impact on the Russian positions near Rivnopil, undermining logistics and cutting off reinforcements with armored vehicles and ammunition from the front line.
