Details of the mass shooting of mobilized persons in Russia were released
In Russia, on October 15, a mass shooting of mobilized soldiers took place at a military training ground in the Belgorod region.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that 15 people were killed and 11 were injured.
The Russian media Sota, citing an eyewitness to what happened, alleges 22 dead and 16 wounded.
The Ministry of Defense stated that on Saturday, two citizens of “one of the CIS countries” opened fire on the mobilized during fire training exercises with the participation of volunteers.
According to the Ministry of Defense version, the shooters were killed.
Sota’s source claims that there were three shooters and one of them allegedly managed to escape.
Shooting
According to the unofficial information, the shooting took place in the morning; and the Ministry of Defense announced it only in the evening.
Photos featuring the military training ground, showing the bodies of people lying on the ground, were released on social media. The photos captured the bodies of 13 people.
A photo capturing the Russian Ministry of Defense certificate issued on October 11 to private Amizond Ehson Tojiddin stating that he wasserving in military unit 02511 in the village of Kamyanka, Leningrad region, was also released.
Russian media report that the shooters were likely natives of Tajikistan. It has not been officially confirmed.
In September, the authorities decided to grant Russian citizenship in a simplified manner to foreigners who signed a contract to serve in the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation officially announced the initiation of a criminal case only around noon on Sunday, without specifying the article of charges.
There are many mobilized people from the Bryansk region at the military training ground in Soloty, and they have been complaining about problems earlier.
According to the Sora’s source, who was present at the shooting range during the murder, the residents of the Bryansk region are among the victims.
It is also possible that the shooting could have happened on the basis of international and non-statutory relations.
Threats
At the beginning of October, the publication’s source reported that more than a hundred mobilized residents of the Bryansk region from the training ground near Soloty refused to go to Ukraine, despite threats from their superiors.
It was claimed that they were planned to be deployed to attack the lost Lyman.
On October 15, a video appeal to Vladimir Putin was released by seven women from the city of Fokino, Bryansk region, whose relatives were mobilized.
According to them, the men were sent to the frontline without training – although they “signed up” not for this, but for the protection of “their Bryansk region”.
The video message also mentions officers from the military unit in Solot, who, according to the words of one of the women, threaten mobilized soldiers wurh criminal responsibility for refusing to “be cannon fodder.”
