Drones Target Russian Voronezh-DM Radar in Krasnodar Krai

Drones attacked the Russian Voronezh-DM early-warning radar in the Krasnodar Krai.

This was reported by Russian media.

The strike targeted the territory of the 818th Separate Radio Engineering Center, located near the village of Gluboky.

There are two antenna arrays in the decimeter range from the composition of the Voronezh-DM over-the-horizon radar.

According to Russian online media Astra, the strike was carried out by a strike drone, on the morning of May 23, 2024.

As a result of the strike, a fire began on the territory of the military unit #41003.

Nothing is known about the dead or wounded.

It should be noted that the radar complex is located at the coordinates 44.925245,40.984025 and is part of the unified missile defense system of the Russian Federation.

One station offers a detection range of up to 6000 km across the horizon and 7000 km in altitude, while simultaneously tracking up to 500 targets.

In the first turn, the radar station provides detection of intercontinental ballistic missiles that fly in near space.

Previously, Militarnyi reported that, as a result of a missile strike on the “secret” air defense base of the Russian Federation in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea, the commander of the unit—Kulakov—was killed.

He served in the 3rd Radio Engineering Regiment (military unit No. 85683) of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which monitored airspace over Ukraine.

Kulakov died in a missile strike on May 13, 2024, when a radio engineering unit atop Bedenekyr was targeted by Storm Shadow missiles. His death confirms the success of the attack on the enemy’s radio engineering complex, causing significant damage to stationary systems.
