As part of its military aid, Germany provided the Ukrainian military with ammunition, armored vehicles, radar, and a Skynex air defence system.

The list of assistance is available on the government website of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Germany handed over 10 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, one Dachs armoured engineer vehicle, nine mine ploughs, a Beaver bridge-laying tanks with spare parts, and six M1070 Oshkosh tank transporter tractors to Ukraine.

The main part of the tranche is the second Skynex air defence system delivered to Ukraine. This system is capable of shooting down drones or cruise missiles with programmable ammunition.

A TRML-4D air surveillance radar was also transferred. It is capable of operating independently or in combination with Western air defense systems, in particular, IRIS-T. Read more about this radar here.

The aid also included 60 outboard motor and 600 LED lamps (probably for mobile air defense teams) and 1,980 sets of camouflage netting.

The package includes ammunition for various systems:

  • 120mm ammunition for Leopard 2;
  • 29,638 rounds of ammunition for GEPARD self-propelled anti-aircraft guns;
  • IRIS-T SLM missiles;
  • 18,000 rounds of 40 mm ammunition;
  • 7,500 rounds 155mm ammunition;
  • 120mm mortar ammunition.

Infantry weapons and equipment included 3,000 RGW 90 man-portable anti-tank weapons, 100,000 first aid kits, and 2,000 ponchos.

It is also reported that one set of the AMPS (Airborne Missile Protection System), which is designed to actively counter missile threats, will be transferred. Ukrainian helicopters are to be equipped with this system.

It is not known whether the system for installation on the helicopter was handed over, or whether the helicopter was already modernized. You can read more about it here.

In addition, the third battery of the MIM-104 Patriot air defence system (probably PAC-2) was added to the list of equipment and weapons planned for transfer.
