The KRAKEN Special Forces unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine showed how their drivers worked during the shelling of Chasiv Yar.

Militarnyi reports on this.

The one-and-a-half-minute video shows the kind of fire under which soldiers are being delivered to the front line of defense.

The footage captures the extraordinary courage and professionalism of the KRAKEN special unit’s drivers.

“Maneuvering in difficult conditions under constant enemy artillery fire, they are responsible for the personnel and fire support of the units in Chasiv Yar,” the press service commented on the actions of the combat vehicle drivers.

The combat vehicles are Turkish Cobra IIs designed and manufactured by the Turkish company Otokar. We reported the receipt of these vehicles a year ago.

It was not reported at the time which unit of the Defense Forces, or more precisely, which military formation received these vehicles. Now it can be argued that the DIU special forces have a certain number.

This combat special forces unit is involved in the defense of Chasiv Yar, which has been under attack by the Russian invaders for several months. The territory remote from the front lines is regularly shelled, so movement is a very difficult task, as shown in the video:

As the deputy commander of the 2nd assault battalion of the 5th separate assault brigade of the Kyiv brigade, currently involved in the city’s defense, noted in a commentary, the Russian army’s offensive capabilities have been declining in recent weeks.

“The situation around Chasovyi Yar is not changing. The front line is not moving in one direction or the other. The enemy is not trying to find any new ways to attack or new directions,” Oleksiy Tarasenko noted.

This is the result of the resilience of Ukrainian defenders in this area.
