Oil depot in Feodosia hit by Rocket Forces of Armed Forces of Ukraine

Crimea Fires Occupants elimination Ukraine War with Russia

The oil depot in Feodosia in the temporarily occupied Crimea was attacked by units of the Rocket Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the night of October 7.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on this.

The JSC Marine Oil Terminal is an important facility of the invaders, which, in particular, provided the Russian army with fuel.

The marine oil terminal in Feodosia was hit as part of the measures to undermine Russia’s military and economic potential. This terminal is the largest in Crimea in terms of transshipment of oil products, which were used, among other things, to meet the needs of the Russian invasion army.

Initially, it was assumed that the oil depot was attacked by drones during a night attack on Russian military facilities on the peninsula, but the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified the use of the Rocket Forces:

“Last night, a successful strike was conducted on a Russian marine oil terminal in the temporarily occupied Feodosia, Crimea. A fire was detected near the facility. The damage aftermath is being clarified,” the statement said.

The distance from the closest point of the combat line to the affected facility is about 250-260 km.

The Ukrainian military did not specify what missiles were used in the strike. If recalling the previous strikes on Crimea, it could be either the transferred US ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles or the Ukrainian-made cruise missiles based on the Neptune anti-ship missiles.

Missile program

At the end of August, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that Ukraine had successfully tested the first Ukrainian-made ballistic missile.

He congratulated the national defense industry on this. He noted that the tests were successful.

In early August, it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had allocated additional funds for a Ukraine’s missile program. Two weeks earlier, the President said that Ukraine was getting closer to using the Ukrainian-made ballistic missiles. Therefore, it is not yet known what kind of system hit the oil terminal.
