Operational Command “South”: Russians are setting up the offense groups toward Kryvyi Rih

The Russian invaders started assembling the offense groups in the Kryvyi Rih direction.

The Operational Command “South” reports about this.

The enemy is likely preparing a counteroffensive with plans to advance to the administrative border of the Kherson region.

Yesterday, on August 2, the Ukrainian servicemen took a hit at the base of the invasion forces in Chornobayivka, as well as targeted the strongholds and weapons and equipment clusters of the invaders in the Mykolayiv and Kherson regions.

“The enemy continues to wage hostilities along the defense line that they hold. They started setting up the offense groups in the Kryvyi Rih direction. It is quite likely that the enemy is preparing a counteroffensive with further plans to advance to the administrative border of the Kherson region,” the OC “South” report says.

At the Sukhyi Stavok – Bilohirka frontier, the Russians were trying to conduct reconnaissance through battle with the support of two tanks. The attempt saw no success as the enemy retreated, having suffered losses.

Throughout the day, the Russians launched two air strikes and two missile strikes on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy helicopters and Smerch MLRS were firing from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions along the line of contact.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery units targeted Chornobaivka, where the base of the invasion forces is located.

Three Kh-101 cruise missiles were shot down by the anti-aircraft missile unit in the Bashtanka district.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched three strikes against strongholds and one – against the equipment cluster in the Berislav and Bashtanka districts.

Ukrainian defenders are attacking the Russian Federation invasion forces in all directions of the frontline. The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the First Winter Campaign reported that the unit’s servicemen used a kamikaze drone and a mortar in cooperation with the special forces.
