The Russian military command began forcibly moving to concentration camps Russian soldiers who refused to fight.

Russian human rights activist Alexey Tabalov, executive director of the human rights organization “Conscript School”, told about this on the “Navalny LIVE” broadcast.

According to Tabalov, one of the camps for such soldiers was created in the occupied Brianka settlement in the Luhansk region.

A similar camp for the Russian military was also created in the Kherson region.

“We have researched [situation] in Brianka. According to our data, there may be more than 80 people there. Prior to that, there were reports from Kherson that people were also being kept in kind of pits there. So this is no exception. Unfortunately, this is a practice that is expanding more and more,” Alexey Tabalov said.

The human rights activist released a number of photos revealing Russian military prisoners held in similar camps.

“This is happening all over the occupied territory, where Russian troops are located. And based on the appeals that come to us, the frequency of appeals to our organizations, in particular partner organizations, one gets the impression that everyone is ready to run away from the battlefield. And apparently, recognizing this fact, it is a big problem for the Ministry of Defense. And now they are switching from intimidation at the beginning of the special operation to more serious actions, such as kidnapping, taking them out to some pits, premises and keeping their own servicemen as prisoners of war,” said the human rights defender in an interview with the Current Time TV.

On July 21, the Russian opposition media, citing data from human rights activists and relatives of military, reported that at least 1,793 Russian military personnel from 22 regions of Russian Federation refused to participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. At least 234 of them are forcibly detained in a special center in Bryanka.

The Insider media also contacted one of the Russian soldiers who refused to fight against Ukraine and ended up in Russian concentration camp in Bryanka, Luhansk region.
He said he succeeded in hiding his phone. He explained to journalists that he filed a report about refusing to participate in the war because of moral unpreparedness.

200 Russian soldiers wrote the same reports together with him. Some of them managed to leave for home, others, in particular Ivan, were “less fortunate” — they were taken to Bryanka.

The military said he was offered two options in Bryanka — to fight or to refuse and be jailed. According to him, the jail means a pit.
