Russia is trying to keep the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine and is focusing on attempts to disrupt the active actions of the Defense Forces in certain areas.

The military leadership of the Russian army made a decision to deploy the troops of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) and its military personnel from Syria to the frontline.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in its morning summary on October 4.

“According to information available, the military leadership of the enemy’s armed forces decided to move Rosgvardiya troops based within the administrative borders of the Siberian military district along with the Russian troops contingent in Syria to the area of combat operations,” the General Staff shared.

The morning summary notes that the units of the newly formed 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, moved to the territory of Ukraine, are not capable of effectively performing tasks as intended.

The main reasons for the demoralization of this Russian military unit are the outdated and unusable weapons and military equipment.

Also, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the factors for reducing the combat potential of the newly created Russian compound include personnel unauthorizedly abandoning their positions and refusing to perform combat missions, the use of alcoholic beverages, and systematic violations of military discipline.

On October 3, it was reported that the Ukrainian military de-occupied the urban-type settlement Borova in the Izium district of the Kharkiv region.

In addition, social media also reports the liberation of the village of Shyikivka, which is not far from Borova.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that since the beginning of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, the Defense Forces have already liberated 454 settlements from the Russian invaders.

The day before, the Ukrainian military also liberated the village of Torske, Donetsk region.

The village is located between the de-occupied city of Lyman, Donetsk region, and the temporarily occupied Russian city of Kreminna, Luhansk region.
