The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an ammunition depot of Russia`s invasion troops in Popasna.

The destruction of the enemy’s military facility was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces on Facebook. The location was not specified.

A video featuring more details was released on Twitter. In the post, the author notes that the Russian ammunition depot was destroyed by the Ukrainian forces in the area of the temporarily occupied city of Popasna, Luhansk region.

The video recorded by the Ukrainian military captured a powerful explosion of ammunition.

In the beginning, the ongoing fire with a large amount of thick smoke rising up can be observed.

Then, caused by the simultaneous detonation of ammunition, a powerful explosion occurs, which leads to the destruction of the building of the warehouse of the Russian invaders.

In the published video, the male voices are discussing that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “hit the enemy`s depot – and it is now exploding.”

“It can be looked at nonstop… Just blown away,”- the servicemen note behind the scenes.

Judging by the video, the remote surveillance of the Russian military positions was conducted by a drone or a stationary camera.

Popasna is a relatively small city in the west of the Luhansk region. During the war in Donbas in 2014, the city remained under Ukrainian control.

After the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Popasna became the scene of fierce fighting. The city was first attacked in early March, and until mid-April, the advancing troops managed to break into its city center. However, the fighting did not stop there. Russian invaders occupied the destroyed city in early May.

Recently, in the temporarily occupied Perevalsk in the Luhansk region, explosions were also recorded on the Russian invasion forces base. Back then, the invaders claimed that their military unit was fired at by HIMARS MLRS.
