The General Staff expects the transfer of Russian units from the territory of Belarus

It is likely that Russia will transfer its separate military units from Belarus to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine after they gain combat capabilities.

This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy continues transferring personnel and military equipment to equip units that have suffered losses.

Currently, the Russian invaders are concentrating their efforts on restraining the actions of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“It is expected that individual units of the enemy will be transferred from the territory of the Republic of Belarus after they acquire combat capabilities,” the General Staff reported.

The units of the Belarusian special operations forces, which are part of the regional grouping of the troops of the so-called union state of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, carry out the task of strengthening the section of the state border with Ukraine.

Ukrainian intelligence believes that the information that Belarus is allegedly preparing an offensive is being spread on purpose.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the press service of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this, as UNIAN reports. According to him, such reports are beneficial for Russia. This is how the occupying country is trying to cause panic in Ukrainians.

“Informational and psychological special operations very often pursue several goals at the same time. And in this case, we see different goals, that is, on the one hand, to sow panic among the population, among Ukrainians, including residents of border regions and regions. And to disorient the Ukrainian defense forces, disperse the forces, transfer the forces from other directions. And also the object and goals of this special psychological information operation is Belarus itself and Belarusians, i.e. incitement. To make it so that it sparks, and still involves Belarus itself in a full-scale war, which has not happened up to this point,” the intelligence representative emphasizes.

He noted that it is now very important to understand what the enemy’s goals are.

“We are not talking about the fact that there is no threat from the Lukashenka regime. There is, and Lukashenko helps Putin with weapons, ammunition, and armored vehicles. It provides its airspace for strikes on Ukraine, but today we cannot talk about the fact that a full-scale invasion will take place in the near future and Belarus will be involved in a ground operation,” said the representative of the Defence Intelligence.

According to Yusov, the number of the Russian contingent on the territory of Belarus is increasing. However, no strike group that could carry out such an operation was formed from the units of the Belarusian army itself. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that about 15,000 Belarusian soldiers are ready to fight against Ukraine.
