The Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion called on Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, to negotiate and claim the prisoners.

The Russian Volunteer Corps announced this in their Telegram channel.

“Well, friends, it’s time to address the governor of the long-suffering Belgorod region.
Mr. Gladkov! Today is a great Orthodox holiday, Trinity. As a gesture of goodwill, which the government of the Russian Federation so often mentions, we are ready to give you these captured ordinary Russian soldiers for the opportunity to speak with you personally, to discuss the current situation in the region and, most importantly, to talk about its future and the future of Russia in general. Therefore, we invite you to a dialogue within the walls of the church in Novaya Tavolzhanka. You may arrive in an ambulance, accompanied by a driver, without weapons. I will come personally with a representative of the Freedom of Russia Legion and the prisoners. You recently received the Order of Courage, so demonstrate true civic courage,” the statement reads.

Representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps want to discuss ” the fate of Russia and the unnecessary, bloody war” and hand over two prisoners to a Russian high-ranking official.

Senior Lieutenant Alexey Belyaev and Alexey Kaminsky, who did not reveal his rank, were captured.

The meeting place is one of the churches in Novaya Tavolzhanka.

Russian volunteers demand that Gladkov arrive unarmed in an ambulance.

The soldiers noted that the governor had time to arrive for the meeting until 5:00 p.m. local time.

“Therefore, today, until 5:00 p.m., you have the opportunity to communicate without weapons and take home two Russian citizens, ordinary soldiers, whom you and your political leadership sent to this slaughterhouse,” the statement reads.

In his video message, Gladkov said that “most likely, the prisoners were killed, but if they are alive, then he is ready to meet at the Shebekino automobile checkpoint.”

Gladkov also changed the time frame of the meeting, stating that he is ready to meet between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. local time.

The distance between the old and the new meeting place is about 7 kilometers.
