The Turkish Air Force received three Akıncı attack UAVs
The first serial multi-role Akinci UAVs were adopted into service by the Turkish Armed Forces.

As per Ministry of National Defense of Turkey, three Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicles were adopted into service by the Turkish Air Force Command.
On August 2 and 3, the drones were transferred to the 14th UAV Systems Base Command in Chorlu Province.
The Akinci strategic combat drones adopted by Turkey were developed and produced by the Baykar in August of last year.
An official adoption ceremony with the participation of company managers, military and political leadership of Turkey, headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, took place on August 29, 2021.
The multi-role drone is equipped with AI-450 engines developed by the Ukrainian Ivchenko-Progress from Zaporizhzhia.
Last year, the Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicle was raised to a height of 11,500 meters.
The drone stayed in the air for 25 hours and 46 minutes, which broke the record in Turkish aviation.
The demonstration of the Akinci drone prototype took place in 2018. The claim is that it will be able to fly at an altitude of 12,200 meters and carry up to 1,500 kg of weapons.
Akinci made its first flight in December 2019. After that, the test flights of its prototypes under various programs were launched. The first serial Turkish-produced Akinci UAV made its first flight in May 2021.
