The United States will be providing Ukraine with protective equipment against chemical weapons

The United States will be providing Ukraine with the equipment to be used in case russia deploys chemical or biological weapons during its invasion of Ukraine.

Militarnyi reports about this with reference to the White House Press Secretary.

The supplies would be shipped to the government of Ukraine in light of the messages coming from the United States and other countries that russia could be deploying such weapons.

“As an effort to assist our Ukrainian partners, the U.S. government is providing the government of Ukraine with lifesaving equipment and supplies that could be utilized in the event of russian chemical or biological weapon use,” said the United States representative.

The White House has set up a group of experts to develop a plan of how to react if moscow deploys any weapons of mass destruction, specifically chemical, biological, or nuclear.

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, has stated last week that the United States would be responding if russian president vladimir putin were to use chemical weapons during his invasion of Ukraine.

According to the EU documents and coming from people familiar with the matter, the European Union has also launched a stockpiling operation to boost its defenses against chemical, nuclear and biological incidents amid concerns over the war in Ukraine.
