Ukraine to receive Turkish ammunition for Bayraktar TB2 from Lithuania

The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania procured ammunition for the Bayraktar TB2 UAV, which is transmitted from Lithuania to Ukraine.

This is stated by Arvydas Anušauskas, the Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

It was also reported that despite the ordered ammunition, the Turkish company provided Lithuania with additional ammunition for the drone.

“We agreed on the armament of the Bayraktar “Vanagas”. Ammunition will be delivered on time! We also would like to thank the company for additionally donated ammunition,”– said the Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

Ammunition for Turkish UAVs is produced by ROKETSAN.

There are three versions of the Bayraktar TB2 ammunition – MAM-C, MAM-L and MAM-T.

In the published photo, Arvydas Anušauskas demonstrated MAM-L laser-guided guided bomb.

The MAM-L is high-precision small-sized bomb that weighs 22 kilograms. The warhead weighs 10 kg and can be: tandem, high-explosive blast fragmentation, thermobaric.

In fact, MAM-L is a variant of the UMTAS anti-tank missile with the engine removed and the wings increased. The estimated cost of MAM-L ranges from 60 to 100 thousand dollars.

The principle of guidance is by laser beam, which allows to destroy targets at a distance of up to 8 km, as well as with the help of satellite navigation at a distance of up to 14 km.

Reminder: Lithuania has signed a contract with Turkey for receiving a free Bayraktar TB2 UAV for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Turkish-made UAV for Lithuania was named “Vanagas,” which means – Hawk.
