In April 2022, soldiers of the 24th Brigade successfully “landed” a Russian drone of this type.

“Orlan-30” is a modified version of the “Orlan-10” drone, which the Russians are actively using in the war with Ukraine.

The working radius of the drone is 500 km, the flight ceiling is 5000 m, and the operating time is 8 hours.

There are two modifications of these Russian UAVs: “Orlan-30” and “Orlan-50”. Their main difference from the original version is that they have the in-built engines.

“Orlan-30” has one engine, and “Orlan-50” has two. This allows for increasing the takeoff weight and payload.

The cruising speed of both modifications is 90 km/h, and the maximum speed of Orlan-30 is 150 km/h.

This UAV could also be carrying 3-4 cargo modules.
