Ukrainian Airstrikes Target Russian Military in Kursk Oblast Village
Ukrainian aviation strikes at the location of the Russian military in the village of Krasnooktyabrskoye in the Kursk oblast.
The video of the strikes was posted on the Sonyashnyk Telegram channel, which is affiliated with Ukrainian aviation.
“Our aviation has struck at the concentration of Russian manpower and ammunition,” the group said.
This settlement in Korenevsky district is located near the border with Ukraine.
It is reported that Ukrainian aviation struck the Russianspositions with French AASM HAMMER bombs.
These smart air-to-surface stand-off weapons are designed to hit ground targets, fortifications, other objects and enemy convoys.
In Ukraine, these bombs were adapted for use with Soviet MiG-29 multi-purpose fighters.
Fighting in the Kursk oblast
Within three days, from August 16 to 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed all three stationary bridges across the Seim River in the Kursk oblast of Russia.
Through these bridges, the Russian forces in the Glushkovsky district of the Russian Federation, which is bordered by the river to the north and the Ukrainian-Russian border to the south, were supplied.
After that, the Russian army began to set up pontoon crossings across the Seim River, which Ukrainian forces began to attack.
If these facilities are knocked out, part of the Glushkovsky district will be cut off from the main Russian troops from the north.
At the same time, the Russian-Ukrainian border is located to the west, and the advancing Ukrainian forces are in the east.
