Ukrainian Armed Forces enter the battle for the high grounds near Klishchiivka

The Ukrainian servicemen are advancing in the Klishchiivka region and knocking out the Russians from the fortified areas on the high ground.

The analysts from DeepState, who update the map of combat operations, found that the Russians lost the fortified area at the Hill 215.7.

“Battles are ongoing at high Hills 215.7 and 233.3 near Klishchiivka. The enemy is still sitting in the village itself,” the analysts said.

Serhii Cherevaty, Spokesman for Ukraine’s Eastern Group of Forces, confirmed that heavy fighting was ongoing in the Klishchiivka area in the Bakhmut direction.

“There (in the area of Klishchiivka – Ed.) heavy fighting is underway, we cannot reveal any details yet. But judging by the way the enemy channels are inciting panic, I think that for them (the Russians – the invaders) the name Klishchiivka will be very symbolic,” said Serhii Cherevaty.

He emphasized that the details would be announced later.

On July 5, the spokesman of the Ukrainian General Staff, Andrii Kovalev, reported that the actions of the defense forces were successful as a result of the offensive in the Klishchiivka area in the Bakhmut direction.

“In the Klishchiivka area, they are having partial success, they are setting up their positions at the boundaries they have reached,” Andrii Kovalev said.

MP Yurii Mysiagin also released a video from the Klishchiivka area, in which soldiers of the 24th Separate Assault Battalion “Aidar” captured the Russian military.

“The Aidar Battalion continues successful operations in the south of Bakhmut. The soldiers cleared another position in the area of the Klishchiivka sattelment,” Yurii Mysiagin said.

New videos with soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, who had taken new positions in the area, also appeared on the social media.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian military continues to defeat Russian forces in the area of the village of Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region.
