Ukrainian Border Guards Hunted Down Russian Armored Vehicles Near Pishchane Village
In the Kharkiv region, border guards prevented Russian armored vehicles from advancing and destroyed them near the village of Pishchane.
The “Pomsta” Brigade of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said that the combat operation had been conducted by the brigade’s company of strike unmanned aerial vehicles.
Several different types of attack drones were used to destroy the vehicles.
At first, the vehicles were hit by FPV strike drones, and then heavy drones were sent to finish the job.
Heavy drones hovered over the damaged vehicles and began dropping ammunition.
This tactic helped to destroy at least three infantry fighting vehicles and a T-72B3M tank with a KMT-6 tracked mine trawl, which was supposed to overcome Ukrainian minefields.
DeepState project analysts said that Russians from the occupied village of Pishchane were trying to move towards the Borova-Kupiansk road, which was the main logistics route in the area.
At the beginning of the occupation of Pishchane, the Russians first continued to attack in the direction of Kolisnykivka, and then to the north, reaching higher ground.
“But when they encountered resistance, they began to look for another vector of movement and found a weakness in the lowlands towards Krugliakivka, where they had their last successes,” the analysts said.
Volodymyr Fokin, commander of the 1st Assault Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade, also said that the occupiers were a few kilometers away from the Oskil river.
“The enemy has changed its tactics a bit, moved to active offensive assault actions, but now they are using equipment. These are tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, MT-LBs, wheeled vehicles, of course, motorcycles, mopeds. And the assault groups are, as we say, “by feet”,” said Volodymyr Fokin.
Recently, units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine cleared the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant in the Kharkiv region and destroyed the invaders in all buildings of the enterprise.
