As a result of a special operation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, a Russian Project 12411 guided missile corvette Ivanovets was destroyed and sunk.

The press service of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported on this.

On the night of January 31-February 1, 2024, soldiers of the Group 13 special unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed the guided missile corvette Ivanovets of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

The Russian ship of Project 12411 was on a raid on Lake Donuzlav in the temporarily occupied Crimea when it was attacked by naval drones.

As a result of a series of direct hits to the hull, the Russian ship sustained damage incompatible with further movement. The guided missile corvette Ivanovets heeled to the stern and sank.

The footage shows how, after one of the drones hit, several more hit the same spot, significantly widening the hole in the side. Presumably, another successful hit was on the stern of a vessel.

According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the search and rescue operation of Russian invaders in the Donuzlav, according to preliminary information, was unsuccessful.

It should be noted that the crew of the Project 12411 guided missile corvette consists of 40 people.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized that the operation was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the United24 platform. As part of this project, drones were purchased for the Ukrainian military.
