Ukrainian military shows “Burevij” MLRS on the Tatra chassis in the field

The Ukrainian military uses Burevij MLRS.

Video of the rocket system at the positions of the Ukrainian military was published online.

Before that, these multiple launch rocket systems had not been spotted. There are no frames with combat use of the MLRS yet.

Burevij MLRS is a modernization of the Uragan rocket system, it can use all nomenclature of ammunition available for the BM-27 MLRS, as well as “Typhoon-2” projectiles with increased fire range by a distance of 65 km in perspective, which were designed by Yuzhnoye Construction Bureau. The rocket system is equipped with a digital fire control system, including a battlefield information exchange system.

Reminder: State Enterprise “Shepetivka Repair Plant” received a batch of chassis Tatra for the Burevij MLRS in December 2021.

The Tatra T815-7 chassis with the 8×8 wheel formula are designed for the production of the new Ukrainian 220-mm Burevij rocket launcher system.

Vehicles were received as part of implementation of the state defense program.

These chassis were modified in accordance with the requirements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were formed by the Central Scientific Research Institute of Armament and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
