Ukrainian paratroopers destroy 12 enemy tanks
The Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized a large number of armored vehicles of the Russian invasion forces.
The 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported the destruction of enemy tanks.
Together with other Defense Forces, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed 12 Russian tanks in one day.
This success was achieved while repulsing the massive offensive of the invaders in the east of Ukraine.
“While repulsing the massive offensive of the enemy in the eastern direction, soldiers of the 80 Brigades, together with the additional units, destroyed 12 (!) Russian tanks in rifle combat. Taking into account the fact that on July 6, guys with a lion chevron burned another invader tank, in just two combat days the total number of destroyed targets they hit exceeded the size of a tank company.”

According to the paratroopers, the first two Russian tanks were destroyed at the beginning of their offensive during an ambush. The next group of tanks was burned with rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) , NLAW, and Javelin systems. Two more tanks were hit by Ukrainian artillery.
After that, the paratroopers, in cooperation with the artillery, continued to inflict fire damage on the enemy in order to prevent the Russians from capturing the bridgehead and gaining a foothold.
In one day, they eliminated 12 tanks, 5 armored personnel carriers, and one truck of the invaders.
The servicemen noted that such losses caused the enemy to stop the offensive and retreat.
Last month, the troops of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade neutralized two Russian tanks with Javelin anti-tank missiles.
Back then, the Ukrainian servicemen successfully struck advanced Russian T-90A tanks.
Also, the Ukrainian artillery neutralized a sizable batch of ammunition of the Russian invasion forces.
