US prepares new $725 million aid package for Ukraine – Reuters

They also emphasize that this list of forces and means should not include air defense systems, since it was prepared to support the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

On a separate note, Ukraine expects anti-aircraft systems to arrive this month to repel Russian missile strikes and Iranian kamikaze drones used by the Russian Federation.

It should be reminded that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov said that the first NASAMS air defense systems would be delivered this month.

“There is a decision by the United States to supply us with a very well-known NASAMS system: the first few installations. Training of our specialists is already underway. And they will be delivered this month,” said Oleksii Reznikov.

At the same time, Ukraine has already received the first of four IRIS-T systems from Germany.

After the missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, a number of partner countries announced the transfer of air defense systems.

Spain will transfer the Hawk air defense system. It is an American medium-range anti-aircraft missile system manufactured by Raytheon.

France announced the transfer of “anti-aircraft missiles” to Ukraine. At the same time, the media report that we are also talking about Crotale short-range air defense systems capable of intercepting missiles and aircraft at low altitude.

The UK made a statement on the transfer of AMRAAM missiles to Ukraine for NASAMS air defense systems.

The Netherlands announced the transfer of air defense equipment to Ukraine for a total of 15 million euros. Notwithstanding that, it was not specified what they were referring to.

At the same time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that air defense for Ukraine will be a priority for Alliance countries.
