Within the next 30 days, the Russians will not be able to resume the offensive, – British Intelligence
The offensive action of the invaders in Donbas has lost momentum and would not be able to be resumed during the next month.
This was reported in the daily British Defense Intelligence update.
The Russians are facing systemic problems. Russia failed to achieve any substantial territorial gains in Ukraine over the past month whilst sustaining consistently high levels of attrition.
“Russia has now likely suffered losses of one-third of the ground combat force it committed in February (to attack Ukraine),” said the British Defense Ministry.
It is also reported that delays of Russian troops will be exacerbated. In particular, due to the loss of bridge equipment and UAVs.
“Russian bridging equipment has been in short supply throughout the conflict, slowing and restricting offensive maneuver. Russian UAVs are vital for tactical awareness and directing artillery, but have been vulnerable to Ukrainian anti-air capabilities,” the statement said.
They also emphasize that the Russian military is limited due to “constant low morale” and reduced combat effectiveness of units that cannot be quickly replaced.
The British intelligence emphasizes that Russia is unlikely to dramatically accelerate its rate of advance over the next 30 days.
Previously, a unit armed with 155-mm M777 howitzers was formed as part of one of the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
