Ammunition and Winter Gear: New Military Aid from Lithuania

Lithuania handed over a new military aid package to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense reported about this on X (ex-Twitter).

The military aid package includes one million ammunition rounds for small arms and winter gear.

“Proud to stand with Ukraine. We encourage our allies to do the same,” the statement reads.

On November 22, it was reported that Lithuania had transferred 3 million 7.62×51 mm cartridges to the Ukrainian Defense Forces as part of a new defense assistance package.

In addition to cartridges, Lithuania’s new defense aid package for Ukraine includes remote detonation systems and winter gear.

On November 10, the Ukrainian military received two NASAMS air defense system launchers from Lithuania.

Along with the NASAMS launchers, Lithuania also donated the vehicles needed by the crews of the system.

Militarnyi previously reported that the first Leopard 2 main battle tanks repaired in Lithuania are being prepared for shipment to Ukraine.

Tanks are being repaired at the Lithuania Defense Services enterprise. It was created by two of the largest European manufacturers of military equipment – the German Group Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann.

The damaged Ukrainian Leopard 2 tanks, brought back from the battlefield, have been repaired at Lithuania Defense Services’ facilities since October.

The maintenance and repair of German-made Ukrainian armored vehicles positively contributes to sustaining the skills of personnel and ensures constant verification of logistics chains.
