The dynamic protection of the M2A2 Bradley ODS SA IFV has withstood a direct hit by a Russian anti-tank missile.

Andrii Tarasenko, a researcher of armored vehicles, discussed this on his Telegram channel.

The Russians fired two anti-tank missiles at the IFV; one missile followed a tangential trajectory, hitting the dynamic protection of the turret, and the other hit the side.

The dynamic protection of the board withstood the impact, the crew was not injured, and the IFV stayed on the move.

Militarnyi previously reported that a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle of the 47th Mechanized Brigade shot a group of Russians at close range.

The M2A2 Bradley ODS SA infantry fighting vehicle closely approached the previously disembarked Russian infantrymen and started shooting the invaders with an M242 Bushmaster 25mm gun.

The Ukrainian IFV was ‘covered’ by a previously destroyed armored personnel carrier, which made it difficult to observe and defeat it.

BRAT

The M2A2 Brаdley ODS SA infantry fighting vehicle is equipped with a BRAT (Brаdley Reactive Armor Tiles).

BRAT was developed in collaboration between American defense company General Dynamics and Israeli Rafael. It is designed to protect armored vehicles from modern anti-tank weapons, including grenade launchers and anti-tank systems.

The manufacturers do not disclose its exact specifications.

The protection kit has several versions and is produced in the form of hinged containers installed on the American Bradley IFV’s frontal part of the hull, as well as on the sides and turret.

The Bradley Reactive Armor Tiles version, which the AFU received, has a set of different-sized protective elements optimized to protect a specific part of the Bradley IFV.

These reactive armor modules are installed on a special frame, which is mounted over the main armor of the IFV. This can be done even in field workshops.
