Delair to supply 400 additional drones to Ukraine
The French company Delair will supply Ukraine with 400 of its reconnaissance drones.
The French media L’Usine Nouvelle reported that a contract for their production has already been signed.
One of them is called DT26. Its wingspan is 3.3 meters, and its weight is 16 kg.
Another drone is the UX11. Its wingspan is 1.1 m, and it weighs only 1.5 kg.
“These are devices designed for the civilian sector, but they are now being used by the hundreds on the Ukrainian battlefield. We have tripled the DT26 production rate in a year,” said Delair’s CEO.
UX11 drones are manufactured in hundreds per year. However, there is no information on the specific timeframe for the drones’ delivery to Ukraine.
At the end of February, it was reported that the French government ordered 100 kamikaze drones by Delair for Ukraine. Drones should arrive in Ukraine already in the summer of 2024.
This company was chosen by the French military to develop attack drones. The program is aimed at rapidly developing French low-cost remote-controlled attack drones that will be easy to use and capable of hitting light targets at a distance of up to 5 kilometers.
The French military industry will receive an order for a total of 2,000 such loitering munitions for the French army and Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Delair, as one of the world’s leading drone manufacturers, offers fixed-wing UAVs.
The company offers its customers the DT46, DT26 Line, and UX11 drones.
