The Come Back Alive Foundation directed $1.8 million collected last year by Polish people at the Bayraktar TB2 fundraiser to help the Ukrainian military.

Two mobile repair stations and a modular camp for the training center of ground defense were purchased with the funds of Polish donors.

Last year, Poland raised over PLN 22.5 million to purchase Bayraktar TB2 for the Ukrainian military.

The “Buy Bayraktar for Ukraine” campaign lasted for a month. During this time, more than 200,000 people donated funds for the drone.

However, the Turkish Baykar enterprise then decided to provide the drone to the Armed Forces for free. The enterprise asked to send the raised funds to charitable organizations that help the citizens of Ukraine and the army.

The Come Back Alive Foundation notes that last year, the Foundation became the first charity organization in Ukraine that received permission to purchase goods for dual and military purposes, including lethal weapons, from abroad, and purchased a Bayraktar TB2.

In August, the Come Back Alive Foundation and Baykar enterprise signed a memorandum on further partnership.

“Baykar offered Polish donors to transfer part of the fund to the Foundation due to previous effective cooperation. This is the Foundation’s first international tripartite project,” Ruslana Velychko, volunteer, lawyer, and First Deputy Executive Director of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, shared.

This agreement was preceded by months of details and negotiations.

The Come Back Alive Foundation used the donated funds from Poland to purchase two Pulsar Master specialized mobile repair stations for the Defense Forces of Ukraine worth $600,000. They are needed to maintain and repair American army HMMWV multipurpose wheeled vehicles and other Western equipment.

Additionally, about another $1.2 million was directed to a mobile modular camp for the Training Center of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The purchase included:

  • 31 residential and educational tents, lighting and power systems, heaters, furniture, and camouflage covering;
  • laundry tent and medical tent;
  • silent 75 kW generator;
  • air conditioning;
  • weapon racks.
