A fundraiser is underway in Lithuania to help protect Ukrainian soldiers from threats on the battlefield.

The fundraising campaign, which started on January 24, had been given a Lithuanian name – RADAROM!

The fundraiser was organized by the volunteer organization Blue/Yellow, public broadcaster LRT, Laisvės TV, Stiprūs kartu, and journalist Rita Miliūtė. The fundraiser will last until February 24.

The raised funds will be used to purchase important equipment that will be included in the soldiers’ individual kits.

The kit will consist of a night vision monocular, a laser sight and personal counter drone equipment.

All equipment will be Lithuanian-made.

The cost of one such kit is €7,500.

As of Sunday, January 28, €1,082,100 had been raised, enough to buy 144 kits.

Last year, during a similarly named campaign, Lithuanian volunteers raised €14 million for the purchase of tactical radars.

In January, it became known that Ukroboronprom had started cooperating with four Lithuanian defense companies.

Cooperation with NT Service, Brolis Semiconductors, RSI Europe and DMEXS will expand opportunities in the development of defense equipment.

The companies primarily specialize in the production of optical sights for rifles, thermal imagers, as well as remote detonation systems, electronic warfare systems, communications, etc.
