The Security Service of Ukraine hit a Russian military camp in the Kursk region.

The RBK-Ukraine reported on this, citing sources in the SSU.

It is reported that the strike was executed on a Russian field camp near the village of Postoyalye Dvory in the Kursk region. Drones were involved in the attack.

The released video captures anti-aircraft artillery fire in the night sky and intermittent flashes from ground explosions, which could indicate hits and, presumably, targets.

“Up to 3,000 Russian troops and about 80 units of military equipment were stationed here, near the Khalino military airfield,” the source reported.

The sources emphasized that the exact number of enemy casualties is being clarified. According to them, the damage was heavy, with at least 18 drone strikes on the military camp.

The anti-aircraft artillery that fired at the attack drones presumably belonged to the air defense system of the Khalino airfield.

The military facility is located 15 kilometers away from Kursk and is more than a hundred kilometers away from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

This is not the first similar operation. On September 24, a Ukrainian drone attacked the Khalino military airfield.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the following were killed or wounded in the operation: an air regiment commander, his deputy, a group of aviation officers, and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation representative.

The 14th Air and Air Defence Forces Army, armed with Su-30SM fighter jets, is stationed at the airfield. It is from this airfield that the planes take off to perform combat missions in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the attack on the military facility was also carried out with the use of drones.
