Russian Air Defense has taken under protection the residence of the leader of the aggressor state, Vladimir Putin.

The Russian media “Агентство” reached such a conclusion.

They analyzed the location of Pantsir-S1 air defense systems, which had recently appeared on houses in the center of Moscow and not far from the Rublyovsky Highway near Moscow, where the Russian elite lives.

According to the online publication, these air defense systems protect Vladimir Putin and his relatives from a possible attack.

The “Агентство” based their conclusion on the fact that the air defense systems had appeared near the Valdai residence of the President of the Russian Federation. They claim that there are no other protected objects in the proximity.

The editors of the online media received a photo taken last week in the village of Yashcherovo, one of the two closest villages to the Valdai residence of the Russian president. The photo features the Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system. According to the author of the photo, the air defense system was placed at the settlement “several weeks ago”, and the sources of the “Агентство” website confirmed that information.

The material of the Russian media notes that there is no critical infrastructure, strategic facilities, large enterprises or large concentrations of military equipment and personnel in the area.

The publication emphasized that the 42nd Anti-Aircraft Rocket Regiment quartered in the village of Valdai-4 had been located in this area since Soviet times. In the 1990s, the base of the regiment fell into disrepair, but since the end of the 1990s, the anti-aircraft regiment has been equipped with new weapons and at present it performs the assigned functions.

The Militarnyi reminds, as last week it became known, that the Russians are installing the Pantsir-S1 air defense system on buildings around the Kremlin. The OSINT analyst with a Twitter account under the nickname Evergreen Intel outlined the layout of Pantsir-S1 SAM deployment, which had been reported over the past week. It demonstrates that the fire sectors of 30-mm autocannons of all the three systems (up to 4 km) cover the Kremlin. The headquarters of the Russian authorities is located in the very center of the coverage zone, created in downtown Moscow.

Pantsir-S1 was raised to the top of the building, which hosted the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow at 38 Petrovka Street.

One air defense system was installed on the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on 19 Znamenka Street.

Another SAM was deployed on the top of the Moscow Central District Department of Education at 2a Gonchara Passage.
