According to Russian officials, they seek to spread information about the capabilities of service in the Russian Armed Forces “to everyone who is possible.”

Since July, up to three battalions have been recruited in St. Petersburg, which are created under the auspices of the governor of the region. Recruiting was entrusted to municipal deputies and local business leaders.

In addition to wages, future occupiers are promised lump sum payments of 300,000 rubles from the city budget.
