The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 11 settlements in the Kherson region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated 11 settlements in the Kherson region.

The press service of the the Operational Command “South” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced 11 settlements in the Kherson region being liberated from the russians.

As of right now, those settlements are completely under the Ukrainian Armed Forces control.

The following Kherson region locations have been liberated: Novovorontsovka, Mala Shesternia, Novohryhorivka, Topolyne, Kniazivka, Krasnivka, Svobodne, Kamianka, Pryhiria, Kochubeivka, Orlove.

Due to the work of 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade and 4th Tank Battalion of the 17th Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the local residents can now receive the humanitarian aid, including medicines and food. In turn, the people from the liberated territories are supporting and encouraging the Ukrainian defenders.

“Due to the efforts of our defenders from of the 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade and the 4th Tank Battalion of the 17th Tank Brigade – part of the Operational Command “South” – the following settlements in the Kherson region have been liberated: Novovorontsovka, Mala Shesternia, Novohryhorivka, Topolyne, Kniazivka, Krasnivka, Svobodne, Kamianka, Pryhiria, Kochubeivka, Orlove,” said the statement.

The Ukrainian servicemen noted that during the operation to liberate these settlements, the 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade unit was upgraded with the “trophy” equipment.

The seized equipment includes T-64 tanks (with full ammunition), BMP-2, BMD-2, and ZU-2M based on MT-LB.

It was previously reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were advancing in the Kherson region and inflicting losses on the aggresors. During the counteroffensive operation, the armored vehicles of the russian military had been destroyed.

According to the servicemen, three russian military armored equipment units and one vehicle had been destroyed.

In particular, two BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles and the Iveco “Lynx” light multirole vehicle had been destroyed.
