The United States has warned its citizens about the danger of Russian military aggression against Ukraine

The American embassy in Kyiv warned its citizens about the military threat to Ukraine coming from Russia, reports Militarnyi.

Today, November 24, the United States Embassy in Ukraine informed on its website about Russia’s unusual military activity near Ukraine’s borders and in the occupied Crimea.

US citizens are not recommended to travel to the Crimea, as well as to certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions due to the threat from Russia.

In addition, due to the situation with the coronavirus it is not recommended to stay in other regions of our country. U.S. citizens are reminded that security conditions are subject to change without notice.

We remind that the United States and Ukraine have signed an updated charter on strategic partnership. The signing ceremony took place in the premises of the US Department of State in Washington.

The charter will replace a similar document signed by Ukraine and the United States in 2008. The wording of 2021 has a number of differences, primarily related to new realities, in particular, the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The United States reaffirms its commitment to upholding Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, including the Crimea.

It is planned to expand bilateral cooperation in order to strengthen security in Europe and the Black Sea region, as well as to strengthen energy security.

The US Department of Defense also calls on allies and partners to lift restrictions on supporting Ukraine with lethal weapons.

About 80 tons of ammunition arrived in Ukraine on November 14. This was the fourth delivery of the US additional international security aid.
